With Chester Jets not in action until Sunday, Westfield Sharks Sheffield took their chance and
moved outright top of the BBL Championship Northern Conference, thanks to this hard fought
91-99 victory over Derby Storm. 

The Sharks had to withstand some outstanding shooting from Jermaine Brown, who finished the game with an incredible 44 points, including 5 three pointers in a row. 

Sheffield, however, dealt the killer blow with a 17-2 start to the final period to take an unassailable 90-76 lead with four minutes remaining. Previously, the game had been neck and neck, with the Storm leading heading into the final period, but only by a single point - 74-73. 

Peter Scantlebury led the Sharks' scoring with 27 points.
