Bullets Birmingham defeated Midlands' rivals, Derby Storm 75-85 away from
home
on Wednesday evening
to move to within two points of third-placed Milton Keynes Lions in the
BBL Championship
Southern Conference.
Derby trailed 11-17
early on, before a 14-3 run which put them five points to the good.
Bullets responded
with a 9-0 run in the second quarter, befoer the Storm hit back again with
eight unanswered points. Bullets led by just one point at half-time - 49-47
- but began the third quarter with 11 of the first 13 points to extend
that lead.
They made the game
safe with the final seven points of the game to win by ten.
Brant Bailey led
Bullets' scoring with 22 points; Derby's Barry Bowman - who has put off
surgery until after the season - led all scorers with 25.
