Sharks lose but win
in Trophy
Chester Jets booked their berth in the
quarter finals of the uni-ball trophy competition with a 94-88 success
over the Westfield Sharks Sheffield confirming they will head Group A and
go on to face Derby Storm.
The Jets, led by 26 points from Loren Meyer,
just kept their noses in front throughout a tense encounter in which they
trailed 47-49 at half-time before edging in front down the stretch.
The Sharks - led by Peter Scantlebury's
18 - also qualify for the quarter finals finishing as the best third placed
team and will go on to face the London Towers in their quarter final on
Saturday 3rd February at Coventry Arena.
