Eagles defeated Chester Jets for the third time this season, posting a
95-114 success away from home just six days before the two teams meet in
the uni-ball trophy Final.
The visiting Eagles
led from tip to buzzer, including a 34-22 first quarter advantage. They
added to that in the second quarter, with a 9-2 run, which put them 43-24
ahead.
Jets rallied in the
third quarter with 11 unanswered points, but still trailed 64-78 and a
9-1 start to the final period sealed the game in Eagles favour.
Eagles' Tony Windless
and Jets' James Hamilton each bagged 24 points in the game with the victors
just one win away from sealing a play-off place.
