Who needs
a month's preparation to get ready for the season ?
Chester Jets and
Newcastle Eagles went head to head as the only two teams yet to play a
game in the BBL Championship this season with the
supposedly under-prepared
Jets coming out on top 105-97 on Saturday night at Northgate Arena.
The Jets, who held
a single point cushion at half-time, posted a late 12-2 tear to turn a
slender 89-86 advantage into a 101-88 lead with 1:30 remaining putting
the game beyond the Eagles reach.
Tarik Wallace top
scored in the game with 33 points for the Jets, James Hamilton adding 29.
Donnie Johnson had
26 for the Eagles who host Thames Valley on Sunday.
