Leopards knock spots off Jets

London Leopards beat Chester Jets 80-87 in Group A of the uni-ball trophy to take top spot in the group on Sunday, only the second time which Robbie Peers' side have tasted defeat this season.

Jets led 5-4 after two minutes, but it proved to be their only lead of the game, as Leopards hit a 2-14 run to lead 7-18.

The hosts fought back, and a 14-6 tear in the third quarter brought the score back to single figures at 48-53, but it was not enough.

The loss of ex-NBA star, Loren Meyer, who fouled out in the third period, hurt the Jets and Leopards were able to seal the game in the fourth quarter.

Rashod Johnson led the way with a game-high 21 points for Leopards, while New Zealand international, Pero Cameron added 20 for Chester.
