Chester remain in North pole

Chester Jets picked up their second victory of the weekend to stay at the top of the Northern Conference, with a 110-96 success at the Northgate Arena over Leicester Riders.

Jets enjoyed an early lead of as many as 13 points at 49-36, before Riders hit a 9-2 tear to reduce the arrears.

A further surge helped the visitors tied the game at 57-57 in the third quarter, but Jets hit 16 of the next 18 points to re-establish their hold at 73-59.

Leicester hit back again, scoring 15 of the next 21 points to close out the third quarter just five points behind at 79-74. A 16-6 run by the home team was the difference between the teams in the fourth quarter, as Jets made the result certain.

Pero Cameron was the game's leading scorer with 29 points for Chester; Larry Johnson added 23 for Leicester.
