Chester
Jets picked up their second victory of the weekend to stay at the top of
the Northern Conference, with a 110-96 success at the Northgate Arena over
Leicester Riders.
Jets enjoyed an early
lead of as many as 13 points at 49-36, before Riders hit a 9-2 tear to
reduce the arrears.
A further surge helped
the visitors tied the game at 57-57 in the third quarter, but Jets hit
16 of the next 18 points to re-establish their hold at 73-59.
Leicester hit back
again, scoring 15 of the next 21 points to close out the third quarter
just five points behind at 79-74. A 16-6 run by the home team was the difference
between the teams in the fourth quarter, as Jets made the result certain.
Pero Cameron was
the game's leading scorer with 29 points for Chester; Larry Johnson added
23 for Leicester.
