Jets intensified the pressure on Sheffield with a 100-80 win over Brighton
Bears at the Northgate Arena on Sunday evening, a result which ensures
a play-off berth for Robbie Peers side.
After a close first
quarter, which saw the two sides level on 18 points, Jets took control
of the game in the second period, starting the period with ten unanswered
points and completing it with an 11-2 tear to lead 53-40.
The home side maintained
their advantage in the third quarter and steadily increased their lead
out
to as many as 26
points in the final quarter at 92-66. James Hamilton was in particularly
impressive form with a game-high 39 points against his former team; Demetric
Reese added 16 for the Bears.
