Sharks reject
Wilbur Johnson welcomes his former side to Brighton on Saturday but left
Sheffield with an unwelcome present.
Johnson led all scorers
for the Bears with 25 points as Mark Dunning' s men continued their impressive
run of form racking up victory number 4 in 5 outings to defeat high flying
Sheffield
81-75.
The result overshadowed
the achievement by Sharks Peter Scantlebury who scored 13 points to become
the joint highest leading scorer ever in the British League but his latest
batch of points
were to be in vain
as the Bears held a slender advantage throughout to secure the win.
Sheffield - who still
remain the only Northern Conference team to secure a play-off berth - were
behind 21-20 after the first period but could not overhaul their in-form
hosts despite 23 points from Nate Reinking and 22 from Terrell Myers.
