Sharks leave Brighton
on the brink
Westfield Sharks Sheffield stepped up their
bid to reach the quarter finals stages of the uni-ball trophy competition
with a 81-97 success over the Brighton Bears, a result which all but eliminates
Mark Dunning's side from the quarter-final chase.
The Sharks took control early on opening
up a double figure advantage to lead 17-28 at the end of the opening quarter.
Bears, led by former Shark Wilbur Johnson
who netted a game high 25 points.
stayed in touch throughout but could not
get the deficit into single figure as the Sharks ran out comfortable victors.
