London Towers
moved two points clear at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference
with a laboured 80-96 win away to Brighton Bears on Saturday.
After a close opening
half which ended 42-40 in the host's favour, Towers
edged ahead in the
third period to lead by seven points going into the final quarter. They
outscored the Bears still further in the final stanza to win by 16 points.
Demetric Reese was
in fine scoring form for the home side, but not even his game-high 27 points
could stop the Towers, who were led by Eric Taylor with 18 points.
