Leicester
Riders notched up their second victory of the BBL campaign withstanding
a late Brighton Bears rally to record a narrow 80-81 success on Saturday
night on the south coast.
The Riders looked
to have the game in the bag leading 43-60 midway through the third quarter
after a 11-3 tear but the Bears had other ideas with a 16-1 final quarter
run trimming the Riders lead to just 67-68.
The Bears in fact
drew level at 80-80 before a late Larry Johnson free throw sealed the win
for the Riders, the Leicester guard leading all marksmen with 26 points.
Demetrius Reese led
Brighton on 22, Dave Wahl chipping in with 21.
