Chester Jets went outright top of Group A of the uni-ball trophy, following their 76-89 victory away to Brighton Bears on Saturday.
Tarik Wallace was in sparkling form on his return to the Jets' line-up after a fortnight's absence, scoring a game-high 29 points which considerably aided the Cheshire side.
It was the third quarter, however, which turned out to be the decisive period of the game - the Jets hit a 5-19 run to turn a two-point advantage into a 16-point lead at 46-62 and they led by 15 points heading into the fourth and final quarter.
Errol Seaman, enjoying his best game since joiing the south coast outfit, was the Bears' top marksman with 21 points.
