McCord leads Bullets

Thames Valley Tigers began their uni-ball
trophy campaign with a victory defeating the Pertemps Bullets Birmingham
on their own floor 75-80 on Saturday night.
The Tigers looked to be in control after
bursts of 8-0 & 10-2 helped them to 60-73 lead with 2m 30s remaining.
Bullets however had other ideas and posted
a late 15-4 tear including two three pointers from their leading
scorer on the night Virgil Cobbin (23 points) to bring them back to trail
just 75-77 with 30s remaining.
With the Bullets having to foul to stop
the clock the Tigers sealed the victory from the charity stripe. John McCord
bagged a game high 30 points for the Tigers.
