Bullets Birmingham rallied hard in the second half to overcome Edinburgh
Rocks by 98-81 in the BBL on Saturday night, the reverse at
Aston Villa matching the Meadowbank side's eleven match run of losses sustained
at the beginning of their inaugural season three years ago.
Despite a game leading
28 points from Ted Berry, the Scots could not build on a promising start
which had seen them hold a four point lead at the close of the first and
second quarters.
Birmingham, sparked
by Brant Bailey who hit a team leading 21, re-took the initiative after
half-time.
An 18-4 burst in
the third period put them back in control and they eventually sealed the
points with a 16-6 start to the final quarter, building a cushion which
the Rocks had no hope of erasing.
