BBL Tigers defeat Towers in 2OT
Thames Valley Tigers avenged their uni-ball trophy semi final exit defeating the London Towers 121-117 after double overtime at Bracknell.
The Tigers fought back well after trailing 74-90 with 8 minutes remaining in regulaton play notching up a 16-2 burst to trail just 90-92.
Indeed it was Towers Danny Lewis who forced the extra period notching two late free throws on his way to a game-high 38 points. Tigers put together a decisive 7-1 burst in the second period of overtime to finally see off their visitors leading 119-114 inside the final minute.
Tony Christie on 25 and Greg Meldrum on 24 topped Tigers offense.
