Uniball Trophy : Tigers pile on Riders misery
Thames Valley Tigers piled on the misery for Renault Leicester Riders as the Bracknell hosts scored a 88-75 victory in the uni-ball trophy pool stage.
The Tigers, who had lost their opening tie in the competition to London Towers, ensured that the same fate would befall Leicester.
Paul James' side led from tip to buzzer and opened strongly, starting the
game with a 16-4 burst on the way to leading by 16 at the first interval. When they accumulated a 57-36 lead at half time, the Riders had left themselves too much to do.Tony Christie continued his game by game improvement with 25 points for Tigers as Leicester continue to struggle. Rob Wilson had 20 for the Riders.
