BBL Sharks leave it late to overturn Leopards
Westfield Sharks Sheffield closed the gap to just 8 points on the Manchester Giants with a hard fought 85-82 victory over the adidas London Leopards at Sheffield Arena in game where Sharks assistant coach Brian Aldred filled in for suspended Chris Finch for a win.
The Leopards netted nine in a row to lead 72-79 with 4 minutes remaining before the Sharks however responded immediately with a 9-2 tear to level the scores at 81-81. It was then down to the free throw line to decide the tie and Sharks Terrell Myers & Iain McKinney combined for 4/4 while Leopards Kojo Bonsu managed just 1/4.
Sharks Terrell Myers continued his impressive run of form top scoring with 29 points, Brandon Brantley had 21 points for the Leopards.
