McKinney leads Sharks bite of Bears
Westfield Sharks Sheffield's 101-71 score against the Brighton Bears raised them to the top of the Dairylea Dunkers Championship Northern Conference and it was guard Iain McKinney who shone from three point distance for a 22 point haul.
The game saw the two Scantlebury brothers meet for the first time this season - Richard netted 14 for the visiting Bears, whilst team-mates Lormont Sharp and Charles Claxton bagged 18 and 16 points respectively.
The turning point in the game was the third quarter, when the Bears netted just seven points, enabling the Sharks to take a 26 point lead going into the final period, which they did not surrender. Terrell Myers kept up his big scoring form with 20.
