BBL Lions stay on course for post season
Milton Keynes Lions snapped two game losing streak defeating the Newcastle Eagles 83-96 on Saturday night at Telewest Arena to maintain their play-off course.
The Lions started the third period 8-22 to forge a 51-65 advantage after the Eagles had led for all but the opening score of the first quarter. The Eagles responded with a 10-0 run but could never get back in front as 28 points from Lions' Eric Burks eased the visitors home.
Shahid Perkins on 26 and Ralph Blalock with 25 topped the host's scoring.
