BBL Storm win fourth straight over free-falling Eagles
Derby Storm debutante BJ Bunton upstaged cousin Cypheus at the Telewest Arena by racking up 24 points as his new team coasted to a 82-113 victory over the Newcastle Eagles.
The victory closed the gap to just two points on the Westfield Sharks Sheffield in second spot in the Dairylea Dunkers Championship Northern Conference and extends Derby's winning run to four games since the start of the year.
Eagles - now without a win in five starts - allowed their visitors to put together spurts of 9 and 12 unanswered points in the first quarter to lead 18-31,
a lead which they were never to relinquish. That deficit had grown to 20 points at half-time and with Darrian Evans notching a game high 36 points, there was no way back for the home side who were led by Charles Smith's 24 point haul.
