Neptune secure Irish crown
Neptune are the Irish men's Super League champions. Gerry Fitzpatrick's men made sure that the title would return Leeside for the tenth time in seventeen years with a 76-100 victory in Killarney, ensuring that the crown was theirs with four rounds of the campaign remaining.
Apart from a close opening five minutes Neptunes dominance was never really threatened. American Rasuel McKune and Ricardo Leonard controlled both boards winning almost every rebound. Neptune led 10-11 after five minutes and broke away to lead 18-25 at the end of the first quarter. With McKune having 21 first half points the cork side broke away to lead 50-31 at half time. It was 47-74 entering the final quarter and it finished off the title chase.
