BBL Hancock return sees Lions keep winning
The return of Milton Keynes Lions coach Tom Hancock from his enforced mid-season break did nothing to upset his side's recent run of good form, the Lions winning their third straight game with a 92-87 defeat of Brighton Bears at Bletchey.
The Lions, led by 22 points from Eric Burks, looked to have the game under control after bagging 11 unanswered points to lead 46-31 midway through the second quarter.
After enterign the half-time break down 14 points, Bears fought back hard and trailed by just two inside the final minute after converting 6 consecutive free throws.
However a pair from the foul strip by Lions Tony Windless and 1/2 from Burks 1/2 sealed the victory for the hosts who strengthen their grip on the fourth play-off in the South.
All-Star bound Charles Claxton topped Brighton's scoring effort with 22.
