Bullets two for two
Pertemps Bullets Birmingham kept their 100% record with their second win of the weekend, winning 75-78 away to the Milton Keynes Lions. Shawn Jamison was once again on form as he notched a team leading 22 points.
However, it was the Lions who enjoyed the best of the action in the opening quarter, thanks to a series of three-pointers. The Bullets pulled ahead in the second period and maintained their lead in the third quarter when the Lions hit foul trouble with newcomers Kelvin Robinson, Modie Cox and Mike Defoe all on four fouls.
In the final period, the lead changed hands five times as the Bullets pulled out the win in a tense finish. Tony Windless had a chance to force overtime, but missed a three-pointer on the buzzer.
Eric Burks hit 20 for Lions with Broderick Bobb on 19, while Yorick Williams added 19 for the Bullets.
