BBL Bucknall unseats Riders
Haribo London Towers maintained a four-point advantage over Pertemps bullets Birmingham, when they defeated Renault Leicester Riders 100-92 at home in the Dairylea Dunkers Championship.
In an exciting contest, it was England international, Steve Bucknall, warming up for next week's internationals, who top-scored with 30 points, including four three pointers.
Although the home team led for most of the game after erasing the Riders first quarter advantage, the visitors battled valiantly, with 25 points coming from Purnell Perry.
The visitors entered the final quarter only 78-72 in arrears but could not quite overhaul the capital giants for whom Danny Lewis added 20. Former Towers Malcolm Leak hit 22 on his return to Crystal Palace.
