Towers cap Chester streak
Haribo London Towers put to an end the four-game winning streak of the Chester Jets with a convincing 107-74 win at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre this evening.
The visitors led only for a short while at the beginning of the game, before a great comeback with some showpiece moves from the hometown Towers put them 25-13 ahead after the opening quarter, a lead which they would not relinquish.
Steve Bucknall led all scorers with 22 points, accompanied by an impressive double double from Donnie Johnson, who had 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Ex-London Towers player James Hamilton scored 16 points against his old club, Terrence Lewis notching 15.
The result sees the Towers leapfrog both Brighton and city rivals Leopards into third place in the southern standings.
