BBL Towers crowned Southern champions
London Towers secured the best record in the Southern Conference of the regular season with some room to spare as they defeated the Brighton Bears 100-79 at Crystal Palace.
The kings-in-waiting were pushed hard by the Bears who led 39-40 at the halfway point. However, a 17-2 start to the third quarter by the home side, including nine straight points from Danny Lewis killed off the Bears' chances.
The Towers, who book top seed in the play-offs for a contest against Edinburgh or Derby, cruised to victory with HL Coleman top scoring with 29 points.
Bears' top scorer was Jon Gaines, who had 18.
