BBL Towers reach South pole with Bear win
London Towers moved top of the Dairylea Dunkers Championship Southern Conference for the first time this season after defeating Brighton Bears in convincing fashion 89-73 on Saturday night at Crystal Palace.
The Towers, led by 18 points each from Donny Johnson and Barry Bowman led from tip to buzzer as they raced into an early 22-11 lead which they extended to 48-30 at the half time interval.
The Bears, who were headed by Canadian forward Jan Trojanowski who hit 16, fought back well in the final quarter outscoring their hosts 17-27 but the result was never in doubt.
