BBL Towers win fifth straight, defeat Leopards
Haribo London Towers moved 14 points clear at the top of the Dairylea Dunkers Southern Conference with a 94-104 success over the struggling adidas London Leopards on Monday night at Brentwood.
The Towers, who have already won the divisional crown, broke open a tense game with a 2-15 fourth quarter spurt which gave them a 78-89 lead with 4 minutes remaining.
The Leopards, despite a game high 29 points from Rashard Johnson, could not get the deficit back into single figures and slumped to a fifth successive defeat.
Ron Abegglen's side, winning their fifth straight, were led by Danny Lewis and fit again Donnie Johnson with 21 apiece.
