BBL Leopards shot down by Bullets
adidas London Leopards found themselves on the end of a battering ram belonging to Pertemps Bullets Birmingham at Brentwood, losing 72-88 in the Southern Conference match up.
The clash of the two most off-form teams in the Dairylea Dunkers Championship saw the Bullets end their recent four game slide with a victory which puts Bob Donewald's team on an identical negative run.
Donewald, who earlier in the day replaced Peter Deppisch with John Tresvant in a bid to toughen up his team, was again without injured guard Jason Kimbrough who is still undergoing tests after a head injury suffered last week.
In his absence, the home side struggled offensively and after leading 18-10 after quarter managed only 2 points in the 2nd quarter as the visitors racked up 19 to take a 20-29 half-time lead which they extended to 17 points at the close of the third.
Nigel Lloyd hit a game high 31 for the Brummies with Justin Phoenix notching 22 in support. Kenya Capers led the hosts on 20.
