BBL Tigers see off late Riders rally
Even without Casey Arena, Thames Valley Tigers were able to climb to third spot in the Dairylea Dunkers Southern Conference with a 80-90 victory on the road over Renault Leicester Riders.
The Tigers shot out of the blocks to lead 5-24 late in the first quarter and for long periods of the game it looked as though they were on their way to a comfortable victory before a late Riders rally, a 20-6 blast, trimmed the deficit to just one at 75-76.
The Riders however could not find the extra points to get in front and the Tigers
raced to victory. Tigers Greg Meldrum had 23 points and Riders Purnell Perry scored 20.
