Lions off the mark
Milton Keynes Lions opened their account of victories this season at the third attempt, taking a 80-92 victory over Renault Leicester Riders at Granby Halls.
Eric Burks and Tony Windless were in sparkling form for the Milton Keynes Lions who pulled away early on, leading 19-28 at the end of the first quarter, and Leicester never got closer than a five-point deficit at the beginning of the fourth.
Burks finished with 26 points and Windless 25, with John Potter leading Leicester's scoring with 24 as new Riders coach Tim Darling still seeks his first win at the club.
