BBL Purnell takes Riders to winning finish
Renault Leicester Riders defeated the Edinburgh Rocks 90-82 at Granby Halls but still finish the season bottom of the Northern Conference after Newcastle's win over Derby.
Riders' Purnell Perry finished as the game's top scorer with 27 points - he
bagged 11 points in a 12-4 run in the third quarter, which put Riders
65-54 to the good.Edinburgh's John McCord bagged 23 points for the Rocks who take on Thames valley in the play-offs. The Scots will however warm up on Monday night with a friendly against the Scottish national team (Portobello HS, 7.30pm)
