The effect of playing a tough cup tie last night took its toll on the Denny players as they lost out by 3pts in the final minute to Clare Jets to pick up their fourth defeat of the season.It was a close game from off, with Ayenbajo causing Denny problems and they trailed by just 4pts 22-26 at the end of the first quarter. Blair stepped up his game and Denny fought back to reverse the deficit at half time going in with a 4pt cushion. Denny remained in front going into the fourth quarter, but the tiredness showed down the stretch and with 4 minutes to go Clare Jets pulled away to lead by 6pts and Denny just didn't have the power to catch up with them.
