Sharks fighting spirit blows Derby away
Westfield Sharks Sheffield came up with a tremendous fourth quarter fight back to overhaul Derby Storm 93-100 and return to the top of the Northern Conference.
Hosts Derby led by 76-68 entering the last ten minutes of this much anticipated clash but the Sharks showed the heart of a champion and rallied for the victory, thanks to 14 unanswered points from the visitors, which included nine points from the foul line, after Darrian Evans fouled out and incurred a bench technical.
That spurt put Chris Finch's side eight points clear and it was enough for victory.
Terrell Myers led all scorers with 27 points for the Sharks with Todd Cauthorn adding 24, while Storm new boy Jerrell Bowman netted 22 in reply.
