Perry blasts Riders past slumping Storm

For the fourth time this season an East Midland derby came down to the final play and for the fourth time this season the away side was victorious as the Renault Leicester Riders defeated the Derby Storm 102-106 at the Thunderdome.

With the hosts requiring a win to seal their play-off trip, they came off second best in a tight finish. Level 54-54 at half-time, Leicester only pulled in front late in the third quarter as Purnell Perry edged toward his game best 30 point haul.

With Riders still in front late on, Kip Stone had a chance to win with a three pointer 5 seconds from the end, but Leicester rebounded his miss and sealed it from the foul line for their second straight win.

Darrian Evans on 26 led Derby while Stone ended on 25.
