Uniball Trophy : Storm damage Bullets chances
Derby Storm extended their recent winning streak to four games by disposing of Pertemps Bullets Birmingham 79-72 in Group A of the uni-ball trophy.
And it was by hitting the game's closing 10 points - all from the free throw line - that the Storm pulled off the victory.
Both sides had leads in the opening three quarters in a even contest. The Bullets led 69-72 with just 2.30 left in the game but with four of their players fouling out. Storm took advantage in the closing minutes as Kip Stone and Cypheus Bunton ran in 22 and 21 points respectively.
The result keeps Martin Ford's side with an outside chance of qualification although they remain bottom of the group, two points behind Bullets who retain control of the second spot.
Ex-Storm favourite Yorick Williams led all scorers in the game with 23 points.
