BBL Reinking leads Sharks trey run over Jets
Having used up all their games in hand over Manchester Giants, Westfield Sharks Sheffield have closed the gap at the top of the Northern Conference to just two points after their 90-114 victory at Chester Jets.
The Sharks' long range shooters were in stunning form netting 18 three pointers - Todd Cauthorn making four and Nate Reinking one in a 2-15 tear in the first quarter which put them in control. Ahead 20-35 after that period, Chris Finch's side were never troubled by a Jets side which has now gone eight games without a win and with Reinking finishing on 20 and Cauthorn adding 20, there was only ever going to be one outcome.
Terrence Lewis led Chester on 19, who now travel to Derby on Friday with only a win good enough to maintain their already slender play-off hopes.
