Uniball Trophy : Jets cruise to stay alive
29 points from Greg Francis kept Chester Jets' hopes of reaching the latter stages of the uni-ball Trophy alive as the BBL side defeated NBL Plymouth Raiders 99-86 at Northgate Arena.
The first half ended with the hosts only slightly ahead but four three pointers from Francis put his side in the driving seat and it was one way traffic throughout the third quarter.
With the result beyond doubt, Jets boss Robbie Peers ran his bench and Raiders took full advantage to bring the score back to a respectable margin of defeat, Michael Schantz doing most damage with 26 points.
