BBL Jets keep play-off flame burning
Chester Jets hopes of a shock play-off spot remain alive - just - after their 97-85 victory over Newcatsle Eagles on Sunday. But the Northgate Arena side need the Eagles and Edinburgh to do them a favour and defeat Derby Storm in their last two games to have any chance of making the post season.
James Hamilton led the way for the Jets, with 25 points in a game which the hosts led throughout. A 12-4 start to the second half for the home side gave the Jets a decisive lead of 61-45 with 6.30 remaining and they maintained their advantage and cruised home in the final quarter, despite an 2-8 tear by the Eagles.
Shahid Perkins led the Eagles on 18.
