BBL Gaines spurs Bears win over Jets
Driver Brighton Bears continued their impressive run of form defeating the playoff hopefuls Chester Jets 91-88 on Saturday night at the Triangle.
The game lead see-sawed through the first half with Jets taking a 18-21 advantage after the opening stanza before Bears fought back for a four point half-time cushion.
But in the deciding stages, Jon Gaines broke open a tense game as his back to back three pointers gave his side a 80-74 which they were never to relinquish.
Gaines went on to top score with 27 points, James Hamilton scored 20 for Chester who have now lost their last five games.
