BBL Bears snap seven game skid to turn heat up on Bullets
No, don't blink. Brighton Bears won their first game since coach Mark Dunning assumed the helm at the club in mid-December. But they didn't choose just any old team to end a seven-game losing skid.
Nope, the south coast side breezed past Southern Conference leaders Pertemps Bullets Birmingham 74-65 at the Brighton Centre, a result which condemned the Brummies to their third loss in 10 days.
The win came thanks to a 9-2 run from the home team in the fourth quarter, which gave the Bears a 61-53 lead. Bullets closed to within two points
in the final period, although they had led for much of the third quarter.Michael Brown led all scorers with 20 points. Bullets' best effort came from Shawn Jamison, who scored 18 points.
