Scots march on to Giants semi-test

Edinburgh Rocks can still become the first Scottish winners of the British Championship since 1989 after overcoming Thames Valley in a nerve-strewn quarter-final at the Coventry Skydome. Jim Brandon's men defeated the Tigers 68-64, pulling decisively ahead with the first eight points of the fourth quarter before resisting a late charge from their opponents.

Edinburgh's inaccurate shooting saw them trail 30-26 at half-time but they
re-discovered their touch after the re-start. American guard Ted Berry hit
14 of his team-best 16 points in the third quarter and after  his team's advantage to 12 midway through the final period, they looked safe.

But the Southern Conference side - playing without injured centre Jason Siemon - close with a 0-10 run to trailed just 65-64 with 41 seconds left before foul shots from Jerrell Bowman and ex-Tigers star John McCord delivered the killer blows
and put victory beyond the reach of the 1998 and 1999 finalists and book a last four clash with Manchester.
