BBL Giants book safe passage into semis
Manchester Giants became the first team to progress into next Saturday's semi-finals of the Dairylea Dunkers Championship. The Northern Conference champions defeated Milton Keynes Lions 81-68 at the Coventry Skydome.
After a close and low-scoring opening quarter which ended just 15-12 in Giants favour, Nick Nurse's men stole ahead and extended their lead in the second, as Lions were kept to a single point for more than six and a half minutes as Manchester raced into a 36-19 lead at the break .
Roy Hairston scored a game-high 24 points as the top seeds coasted home, with Modie Cox scoring 18 for the Lions.
