Phoenix helps Bullets to shoot by Lions

Pertemps Bullets Birmingham strengthened their hold on second spot in the Dairylea Dunkers Championship Southern Conference with a 98-88 victory over the in form Milton Keynes Lions.

The Bullets, still without Shawn Jamison who has an ankle injury, broke open a tense game with a 12-2 start to the third period helping them to a 71-57 lead at the end of three quarters.

The Lions, despite 21 points from Kelvin Robinson, could find no way back while Bullets Justin Phoenix answered coach Mike Finger's public critique by notching a game-high 28.
