BBL Towers cut Bullets lead in south race
The signs are ominous in Birmingham Bullets' rear view mirror entering the New Year. London Towers are rapidly closing in on the long-time Southern Conference leaders and the capital side did their case no end of good with a 79-84 victory over the Brummies which evens the head to head between the pair at 1-1.
And Towers new boy HL Coleman made an instant impression against his old team, notching 19 points, a tally only matched by Bullets captain Nigel Lloyd.
However, it was London's guard Barry Bowman who turned the game
with a decisive three pointer in the final period, which put the Towers five points up in the closing stages, after they had turned around a 30-38 half-time deficit to lead by three entering the last quarter.
