Birmingham Bullets leapfrogged DG Essex Leopards Kool Kats into ninth spot to maintain their late  play-off push with a 86-81 road victory in Brentwood.

The Bullets rattled off a 15-2 burst leading up to half time to trim a double figure Leopards' advantage to just two at 41-39.

After a narrow final period, Birmingham scored the final seven points of the game as the hosts offence dried up as they failed to score in the final 2m 29s of the game. 

Bullets Rob Paternostro led all scorers with 24 points.
