The Northern
Conference squad broke their losing streak to win out in last night's BBL
All Star Game in Newcastle, defeating their Southern counterparts 161-148
at Telewest Arena. With Chester's Robbie Peers pulling the strings, his
selection took a commanding lead in the second quarter to move in front
for good at the annual showpiece.
Hometown representative
Tony Windless was named Most Valuable Player after notching 25 points,
trailing only Thames Valley's Tony Christie who notched 29.
Ever popular Windless
had a simple reason for the reversal of fortune, stating it was because:
"I was on the South last year. Now I'm on the North, we're going to win
every time."
